Elders,

I hope that you took the opportunity to participate in general conference this past weekend. It was memorable and remarkable in so many ways. If you didn’t have the chance to listen live, please listen either on the website or the app. I would like to hear from you. We would all like to hear from you and the things you learned and more importantly, felt. If you would be willing to share, please let me know. I would love to be able to share video, audio, or written feelings and testimonies. We can’t share in person during sacrament meeting or quorum meeting, so let’s share digitally. If you would like to participate, please let me know. I can help with getting you recorded or taking your written feelings as well. I really hope you’ll take part. We could all benefit from hearing from each other.

It is great to have Elders Mack, Tommy, and Jackson all back in the quorum. The drive by parades were fun and we are anxiously awaiting hearing from them once the quarantine is lifted and we can all get back together again.

This Sunday is Easter Sunday – we get to celebrate the empty tomb. Christ rose from the dead and forever changed the world. We all get to be ressurected after we die. Our spirits and bodies reunite in their best form. What an amazing gift. He conquered not only death but sin as well and made the way back to our Father possible. We stand all amazed.

Tomorrow is Good Friday. It is the day we commemorate Christ’s crucifixion. President Nelson has invited all of us to fast tomorrow. He said:
“I invite all, including those not of our faith, to fast and pray on Good Friday, April 10th, that the present pandemic may be controlled, caregivers protected, the economy strengthened and life normalized.”

Let’s unite our faith, prayers, and fasting throughout the world . We can help miracles happen when we are united. There is great power in prayer and fasting and more as we unite together.

On Easter Sunday, the Bishop has authorized each household to administer the sacrament. This is a wonderful way to celebrate Easter at home.

Please consider sharing your conference thoughts and feeling with the quorum. We would all love to hear from you.

Have a wonderful Easter weekend,

President Oldroyd

Elders,

How is everybody doing? After family prayers last night I asked my regular question “What’s the plan for tomorrow?” and everyone looked at me like I was the dumbest person in the world. It was just force of habit and I realized what I had done but I had to try to cover for myself and so I tried to ask about specific homework and such – fail. I was exposed. We are not the social butterfly family of the ward and so this isn’t as challenging for us as it must be for some others, but it is still hard to wake up and have every day be pretty much the same as the day before. I hope that you are doing a better job than I am at finding ways to make each day memorable and different. I hope that you are finding ways to “friend and befriend” and not just “hunker and bunker”.

It was fun to do our parade last Sunday and see Elder Mack and Elder Tommy. They both look so good. We love them and are so grateful for their service and that it has been interrupted. They have been, and will continue to be, forces for good in the world.

This weekend is General Conference. It will be something different and it will be a great experience. We get 5 sessions of prophets, apostles, and general leaders of our church speaking directly to us about our Savior and what we need to know in these tumultuous times. It will also be a celebration of Joseph Smith’s wonderful experience – the first vision and the kicking off of the latter-day restoration. The church has put together many resources to help us to prepare for conference – from selected talks, to videos, podcasts, and artwork. This will indeed be a conference to remember. Many people are posting on social media a snapshot of our day – the empty parking lots, quarantine, gas prices, etc so they can remember in years to come what this time in our life was all about. Consider posting, or at least recording in your journals or elsewhere your feelings from this conference. It will be memorable in many ways.

Due to General Conference this weekend we are NOT authorized to perform the sacrament in our homes this Sunday.

The world is in turmoil. 10 Million Americans filed for unemployment in March. This set a new record for the United States. April may eclipse that mark too. Our quorum has, and probably will continue to be impacted by economy. Right now I am only aware of one quorum member that is seeking employment, but if there are others I would love to know who and see what we can do to help.

Bryan Harper is looking for a position in analytics, process improvement, or product management. If you know of any openings or any companies that are hiring, please consider reaching out to Bryan.

Elders, our quorum needs all of the ministering skills that you have. Ask the Lord for ways that you can minister and he will prompt you in ways that you maybe hadn’t thought of before. Look for little things. Look for big things. Look to “friend and befriend”. God loves you all and will bless us and help sustain us through our troubles.

Enjoy conference! Let me know what I can do to improve and be better for you.

Thanks,

President Oldroyd

Elders,

Good morning! Snow, two days in a row? Ah spring in Utah. The funny thing is that my kids are on spring break this week and so we are just letting them be teenagers and sleep in. Yesterday I am talking with one of them and mentioned the snow and she said “What do you mean, it didn’t snow…” I had to show her pictures (that I had sent to my Louisiana team) to convince her. We’ll see if they see the snow today.

How did your first Sunday sacrament go? It was a special experience for me. I am sure that it will become commonplace the more that we do it, but it was a real honor to administer the sacrament for my family. That personal experience of standing in for the Savior in breaking, blessing, and passing the emblems of the sacrament was touching. An added bonus was getting to have my whole family (that live with me) together for the sacrament. That hasn’t happened for a long time.

The bishop has authorized us to perform the sacrament for our families again this Sunday as well. I hope that you take advantage of this opportunity to fill your house and your lives with sacrament of our Savior.

Missionaries: With the church recalling many foreign missionaries we have two that have recently made their ways home. Mack Muhlestein is back and in quarantine before getting reassigned to a state-side mission. Tommy Keys has completed his mission in Japan, is home in quarantine, and will not be reassigned. Since we are not able to hear from them in a sacrament meeting or visit with them personally, the bishop has suggested an inverted missionary parade. It will give everyone an opportunity to get out of the house and show our support for these great young Elders that have served the Lord faithfully – all while practicing appropriate social distancing….

Here is how it will work…

From 12:00 – 12:15 on Sunday, pack everyone in the car and join the parade. You will want to be driving on the same side of the street as the house – so you will need to go down Timpanogos to drive past the Muhlestein house (6378 S Timpanogos Way) towards the clubhouse. Elder Mack will be on the porch of their house and you can wave to him and yell any words of encouragement and thanks. From there continue down Timpanogos and then go up McKinley or Everest so that you can come back DOWN Mt Hood and drive past the Keys’ house (6384 S Mt Hood). There, Elder Tommy will be on the porch of his house and you can wave and send any words of encouragement.

If all goes well, this will cause a bit of a traffic problem on Ivory way as families intersect – but we can all figure out how to merge and make it work. Set an alarm on your phone for 12:00 on Sunday. Do it now or you WILL forget ?.

I hope that you will come and participate and make a long parade of cars circling the neighborhood. I know it sounds a bit different – but let’s give it a try. Crazy times call for crazy experiments – why not an inverted parade?

This week in our Come Follow Me we are studying Enos – Words of Mormon. We are also preparing and building up for the following week (April 4,5) for General Conference and then Easter. I started my study of these chapters this week with maybe not as great an attitude – Enos prays and then a lot of “I didn’t write much”… I have come out of it with a new found love for these chapters and the authors. Not everyone can be a Nephi or a Jacob and write as much as they did, with the detail, passion, and style. Enos chose one very powerful episode from his life and shared it with us. It is a powerful lesson on the grace of God, the atonement, and the power of prayer. The authors in Jarom and Omni, were not prolific writers. They didn’t “journal every day”. They wrote only a little but their words and messages have endured the centuries. Our efforts too – even if small can have long term rippling effects.

Stay safe. I hope that you are adjusting well. If you are struggling (it is harder than I thought) please reach out to your ministers / ministering families / your leaders. We are all in this together and with each other’s help we’ll grow closer as a ward family and make it through these challenging times. A phone call, a text, an email, or a note on a plate of cookies can change the day for someone – maybe even the person doing the service. Writing to you has been a great blessing for me – whether you read it or not it blesses my life.

Thank you for all you do. Reach out if I can be of service. I have an extra computer monitor if someone who is now working from home realizes that the laptop screen is just too small to be productive all day long.

Thanks again!

March 20, 2020

Elders,

What a week! It is amazing how quickly things can change. At times like these it is easy to feel like we have lost control. We are such creatures of habit. We have a routine for this and a routine for that. Now, so many of those routines have been disturbed. It would be weird if we didn’t feel a bit out of sorts after all of this. That feeling of being out of control can be assuaged by our faith and belief in our Heavenly Father’s plan and in his Son Jesus Christ.

Many things have changed in the past two weeks, but one thing we can control is our relationship with the Savior. Don’t let the changes and pressures upset your relationship with Him. He said “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27) Making time for studying his words and for quiet contemplation and prayer will help make everything else a little easier. He is a sure foundation that we can build upon and hold onto as things around us are in commotion.

April Conference is coming in two weeks. It will be a memorable and historic conference in many ways. We have been encouraged to prepare to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Joseph Smith’s first vision. I have been doing some study and preparation (not as much as I probably should) but I came across a talk from Elder Uchdorf shortly after he was made an Apostle. In his talk from April 2005 titled “The Fruits of the First Vision” https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/general-conference/2005/04/the-fruits-of-the-first-vision?lang=eng he talks about how the purpose of prophets is to bring us closer to our Savior – to have more faith in Him. He said “we come to believe in Jesus Christ through the testimony of the Prophet Joseph Smith”. The reality of the Joseph Smith’s vision increases our faith in Jesus Christ – and this is something we could all use a little more of today.

This Sunday our bishop has authorized us to have the sacrament in our home with our immediate family. The prayers can be found in D&C 20:77,79. It can all be done by one priesthood holder that is a priest in the Aaronic priesthood. Guidelines for the sacrament are available in the general handbook of instruction in section 18.9 – https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/manual/general-handbook/18-priesthood-ordinances-and-blessings?lang=eng#title_number27. I encourage you to read through it in your preparation for sacrament this Sunday. This will be a unique and significant experience for you and your family. I hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity.

Elders, continue to reach out in ministering and love to those around us – even through our new favorite term of “social distancing”. Reach out to our loved ones and reach inward to our Savior. He loves you and will help calm you through the changes taking place around us.

Let me know if there are things I can do to help – from TP to Priesthood Blessings.

God Loves you. I know it to be true,

President Oldroyd

March 13, 2020

Elders,

This has certainly been a week of changes and upheavals. The Corona virus is the talk on everyone’s lips from our Nation’s President, to every news outlet to our own Prophet. Our Stake President sent an email out to all of the members of the stake. On the off chance that you did not get the email I’m quoting it below:

Dear Members of the Westland Stake,

Under the direction of the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve, beginning immediately, all public gatherings of Church members are being suspended worldwide until further notice.  This includes:
* Stake conferences, leadership conferences, and other large gatherings
* All public worship services, including sacrament meetings
* All ward and stake activities

I will be counseling with your bishop to determine how to make the sacrament available to members at least once a month.  More to come on that.

It will be critical that each of us reflect on our ministering efforts to care for one another. We should follow the Savior’s example to bless and lift others.  Please consider extra efforts you can make around your ministering assignments during this time.

We love you and the Lord loves you, and testify that the gospel of Jesus Christ is the best source of joy and peace in every circumstance.

Sincerely,
The Stake Presidency

It is quite a significant event to have all of our church meetings cancelled. It seems more than a coincidence that we have been studying the Come Follow Me manual for the past year. We are better prepared for this event than we would have been a year ago. It is easy to see the hand of the Lord in the preparations.

Please consider President Barlow’s plea to step up our ministering efforts – formal and informal. Our Father in Heaven loves each one of us and has prepared several ways to help care for his little flock and the grand plan of ministering is one such vehicle. Certainly the pandemic is not to be taken lightly, but at the same time we should not panic and work ourselves up into a frenzy. A cool head and common sense will serve us all well. Watch for signs of anxiety and/or depression in our friends and family. Be attentive and help things go well. If you recognize the symptoms in yourself, please reach out.

*CANCELLED*
We planned to hear from Kurt VonElm on the 19th (7pm – Clubhouse). According to the direction from our leaders, we will be postponing this to a date TBD. Can’t wait to hear Kurt’s stories but we need to proceed with caution.
*CANCELLED*

I guess you all are stuck with me for another week or so until a new Elder’s Quorum president can be called and sustained. It has been a great pleasure and joy getting to work alongside each of you. It has been a tremendous experience for me and I will miss the frequent interaction with all of you.

This week in Come Follow Me we are studying Jacob 1-4. We get to hear from a new religious leader of the Nephites. We get a great look at his personality. He is someone I can relate to. There is something about his reluctance to call the Nephites to repentance. He loves his people and knows that he needs to talk about some difficult subjects with them. You can feel the reluctance in his words. I am not a prophet but I have had some thoughts banging around in my head for a few weeks that I want to share.

We haven’t talked a ton about pornography in our quorum meetings, but it is something that I feel we need to address. In our quorum I am sure that there are several of us that have been caught into this addiction. It is so easy to get into and get trapped. Once it starts, the guilt, the shame, and the addiction kicks in to put you into a cycle that pulls you away from the peace and light and joy of this life. It convinces us that we don’t have a problem, we can always stop, and that it isn’t a big deal. Step by step satan convinces us to keep our addiction in the dark and away from everything and everyone we love. We become convinced that if we talk to the Bishop and try to clean it up that we’ll be embarrassed, punished, and that our life will be ruined.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Our Bishop is there to help – not to criticize, belittle, or embarrass. He is there to point us to the Savior who can heal us. The atonement is there for you, me, and everyone. No matter what we have done, we are not “too far gone” for the atonement to reach us. He is there. He lives. He helps. He heals. He saves. Elders, if this is something that you are caught up in, please get help. Talk to a trusted friend or confidant. Ultimately talk to the Bishop. He has keys to help you return from the darkness. He is a fantastic man that is kind, loving, and desperately wants to help get build a healing relationship with the Savior.

Even with all of this trouble and commotion surrounding us, life is good. You are great men doing great things for your family, friends, and neighbors. Thank you for letting me tag along with you. Reach out and minister to those around you and if there is something I can do to help, please let me know.

Stay safe,

President Oldroyd

Elders,

Happy Thursday! One of my co-workers says that she can prove that Thursdays are the best day of the week. She claims that you are close to the weekend and that fewer “fires” jump out on Thursdays than any other day of the week. She may be right or just have too much time on her hands… Regardless, It is great to get to write to you again and tell you what great men you are.

Last week Jason gave a great Sunday school lesson and talked through some of the Isaiah chapters of the Book of Mormon. With this week’s come follow me study we close out the life of Nephi and get ready for his brother Jacob. Studying the BofM this year has been memorable for me. Maybe I have just paid more attention, but the book has come alive in new ways for me. I hope that your studies have been good as well.

We have a lesson change for this Sunday. Farrell is going to give our lesson. He will be using President Nelson’s talk from last conference “The Second Great Commandment” ( https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/general-conference/2019/10/46nelson?lang=eng ) as the basis for the lesson. I hope that you get a chance to review the talk prior to our quorum meeting.

The Shober family is sponsoring a blood drive in honor of their daughter Heather Shober who died during childbirth in May of last year. It will be held at the West Jordan City Hall (8000 S Redwood Rd) Monday March 23 from 3-8pm. Giving blood is a wonderful way to serve others and doing it for a purpose is even better. A great show of support for their family would be appreciated. I have donated blood for years and loved the way it made me feel. Unfortunately, last year I was permanently banned from donating due to a thyroid issue. Please donate if you can.

Coming up on March 19th will be an opportunity to hear about Kurt VonElm’s military experiences. The fireside will be over at the clubhouse from 7-8pm. Potluck signup sheets will go around in quorum on Sunday. Kurt is a great neighbor and I can’t wait to hear more of his experiences.

Elders, it is great to be part of a quorum. You inspire me to be better. Thank you for all that you are and do.

See you on Sunday!

February 13, 2020

Elders,

Happy Thursday. Tomorrow is Valentine’s day. It’s not too late to redeem yourself.

I have really been enjoying the Come Follow Me for this year. I have found a number of great podcasts that follow along with the curriculum. It has been a lot of fun to hear so many different ideas about the material we are studying. There are some really smart people out there with great insights into the scriptures and the gospel. I have even found myself enjoying some of the Isaiah chapters.

I was talking with a good friend this week and we were discussing ministering and how we each interpret it maybe a little differently. We talked about what our responsibility is and and what we think God expects of us. We ended up talking a bit about Alma and his great “Oh that I were an angel” discourse in Alma 29. Here Alma desires with all of his heart to obliterate sorrow. He says at the end of verse 2 “…that there might not be more sorrow upon all the face of the earth.” This is what ministering should be – to help remove sorrow. Physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually we all want to help others reduce sorrow in all the facets of their lives. Ministers don’t just go through a pre-conceived checklist of actions that sound like good ideas, they help remove sorrow. Each of us has needs and these can change frequently. Ministers need to see the need and help fill the need – in whatever facet of their life is needed.

I’m glad that the formal reporting and checking off of the list is removed from Home Teaching. The training wheels are off. We now need to seek through the spirit what we can do for each person we are assigned to. This forces us to get to know our families on a deeper level. I believe that God will help us in our efforts to truly love and serve his children. We can also reach out to those assigned to us and talk about what we need. It is the hardest thing in the world to do, but it can open up doors of friendship that we never would have imagined.

As we mentioned in quorum, we have made some changes to our assignments. Please review your assignment in the Member Tools app – or on the church’s website. A member of the presidency will also be getting you your slip of paper with your assignment on it as well. If there are changes that need to be made, please talk to one of the presidency members and we can adjust as needed.

We had a great lesson in quorum this past Sunday. Brother Barlow talked about general authorities, God’s plan, and what we know and don’t know about the life that follows our mortal life. The discussion was good and I really appreciated getting to talk and discuss some hard questions. I appreciate the openness and vulnerability. It led to a great discussion. I was a better man after our lesson. Thank you for sharing and contributing.

If you are traveling this President’s day weekend then please be safe. If not, I hope to see you on Sunday. I love you men and am grateful to be with you. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help make our quorum stronger or more enjoyable.

Best wishes,

President Oldroyd

January 30, 2020

Elders,

Happy Thursday! Can you believe that we are transitioning from January to February already? I must be getting old(er). This past Sunday we had a great Quorum discussion. Aric talked about Elder Andersen’s conference message about “Fruit”. The discussion centered around Lehi’s dream. It is such an important part of the gospel and has meanings on so many different levels that it is good to get to talk about it and rehash it often. It was a great tie-in to our Come Follow Me lessons as well. Thank you Aric and each of you for the messages, comments, and contributions.

Just when I think that things are going to smooth out at work and get to a semblance of normal we fell into a trap of over-confidence. All was well at work. Life is good… The “fun” started with a developer doing something – ostensibly running unit tests. Something went terribly awry with the tests and started truncating database tables in our production system. Soon our internal system was totally non-functional and the alarms from the production teams were rolling in. We were able to stop the damage before it got too bad, but it was already bad enough. Truncate commands (as opposed to deletes) are irreversible. Delete commands log what they are doing and can be painfully rolled back. Truncates are far more evil – the data is just gone forever.

As the various teams assembled and the protocols went into action, we immediately went to our back-ups. Maybe we could restore quickly and only lose a few hours or maybe a day’s worth of work. It wasn’t to be. The backup script was reporting success, but wasn’t actually doing anything. The only backup copy that we could find was from mid-December. We set our sights on recovering a month’s worth of data and asked for the restore to take place into a separate database. Meanwhile, we schemed about what our next steps were. Several hours later we asked for a status update and the delayed response served as a harbinger of what was to come.

Evidently, someone decided to fix the backup scripts in the middle of the outage. They did and when the UTC time rolled over to midnight the backup did it’s magic. Part of the script was to delete any old backups… Yep, the one backup we had was suddenly deleted as well. We searched in vain to find any backup anywhere. We finally realized that we were on our own with no backup at all…

Fast forward a week. We are back up and running in only a slightly degraded state. There are still problems and there is about a week’s worth of data that we’ll never be able to recover. Many teams have spent many sleepless nights and performed heroic acts to get us to where we are today. I appreciate all the hard work.

It could have been avoided. Sure, problems happen. Any one or more of the failures could have happened but the sequence and timing brought the whole world crumbling down.

How does this relate to you and to me? We “thought” that everything was well and that we were safe and well-protected. We thought there were safeguards and processes in place to defend ourselves against human foibles. What we found is that we were sitting on a house of cards. This is the state that the adversary wants us to be in too. He wants us to believe that “all is well” and that “everything is fine”. He wants us to stop doing the little things, stop checking in on our friends and neighbors, stop evaluating our actions and decisions – until we get to a place where we think we are so safe that “it cannot happen to me”. At that point, one small thing can topple our whole house of cards.

I hope and pray that we can all examine ourselves and not just make a cursory look at where we are or assume everything is good. If we can really look and fortify ourselves and our families, we can put ourselves into a much stronger and safer position in our lives. Don’t wait for disaster to happen. Prepare and review, fix and strengthen, become better and improve in all the facets of your life. Then, when disaster strikes (and it will) we will be in a position to overcome. God will help you. He loves you and will magnify all of your efforts to improve.

One of our quorum members could use some help. Brother Von Gunten is in recovery at the Legacy Rehab Center 3200 W 5400 S. He would really enjoy some visitors. If you get a chance to swing by and talk with him, he would love it. He is in room 210.

We have a great quorum of men and I enjoy being together and learning from each of you. We have many perspectives and insights that come out that I had never before considered. Thanks for putting up with me and my ramblings. I love being a part of our quorum.

Please reach out if I can be of any assistance.

Thanks,

President Oldroyd

January 16, 2020

Elders,

Hopefully you are driving safely through the big storm Friday morning – or better yet, you are still at home waiting it out. We had a great lesson on Sunday. Brother Barlow did a great job of leading our discussion. We talked through Elder Renland’s talk from last conference and spent a fair amount of time discussing missions and the great opportunities to share the gospel. I really appreciate Farrell’s wisdom, insight, and advice.

This coming Sunday in gospel doctrine we’ll be focusing on the first 10 chapters in 1 Nephi. There are so many learnings over the past two weeks. Lehi and his family are amazing and in so many ways they are real. Tired, frustrated parents, fighting siblings, reluctant obedience, murmuring, complaining, and general familial struggles. There also is faith, patience, long-suffering, obedience, prayers, thanks, and dreams. How will the discussion go? How has your personal and family study progressed?

This Sunday is ward conference, and in preparation we are inviting you to attend the 6:30 pm session at the Jordan River Temple on Friday. I will not be able to attend, but I hope that many of you can meet up and enjoy the blessings of the temple.

The following Sunday (25-Jan) we’ll be holding one of our meet-and-eat activities. Marshall Rudd is organizing the activity. If you would like to host a dinner, or participate at someone’s house, please contact Marshall.

As always, please look out for your friends and neighbors, especially as we have some severe winter weather.

We have a wonderful quorum and neighborhood. Thank you for everything you do.

Have a great weekend!

January 9, 2020

Elders,

Happy Thursday evening! I hope that your week is going well. It was nice to really get back to a routine this past Monday. Kids in school, Kris and I at work, lessons starting up, etc. There is something about getting back to a regular schedule that is comforting after a fun couple of weeks of chaos. One of our traditions over Christmas break is to go up to Crystal Hot Springs to soak and relax in the dense mineral water. Fun fact, it has the most mineral content of any spring in the U.S.. We love to go up there and just relax and talk. Some of it is just silly but some is serious and thoughtful. I love getting time with my family or at least the ones that could or would come.

As we are studying the first few chapters of 1 Nephi, take a look and liken it to your family. Where do you see yourself? What are your tendencies in difficult situations? What do you do with inspiration? How do you react to things that are hard? Look deeply into Lehi and his family. See where we can grow and be better. One scripture that caught my eye this time through is: 1 Nephi 2:7 where Lehi is talking to his ofttimes rebellious son Laman. He compares Laman to a river running into the Red Sea. He says “O that thou lightest be like unto this river, continually running into the fountain of all righteousness!” I’m not sure how Lehi meant it or how Laman interpreted it, but one of the names for Jesus Christ is “the fountain of all righteousness”. Make that find/replace and suddenly Lehi is counseling Laman to always be running into Jesus Christ.

Always running into Jesus Christ
. That is a noble goal for each of us. If we try to find a way everyday to run into the Savior, our testimonies will grow, and as we start having these experiences we can bring faith into our conversations with family and friends.

Elders – thank you for being the example you are to me and my family.

This week we’ll get to hear from Brother Barlow – He’ll be discussing  Elder Renlund’s talk “Unwavering Commitment to Jesus Christ” https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/general-conference/2019/10/16renlund?lang=eng
I suspect he’ll be telling us more about the saints in the Congo.

A week from Friday on January 17th we will have a ward temple day in preparation for our ward conference on the  19th. We encourage you to come to the temple and enjoy the peace it brings. We are going to target the X:XX session (don’t know which one for certain just yet, but we’ll let you know on Sunday).

Look for the signup sheet for our winter “Meet and Eat”. It will be on January 25. Marshall Rudd is spearheading the organization for this. It has always been a fun activity – a time to get to know other friends and neighbors from the area. I hope that you’ll participate.

See you bright and early on Sunday for 9:00 Sacrament Meeting! Let me know how we can be of service to you.

Thanks,

President Oldroyd
